Great article! I agree that the Heat need more of an interior presence. I know the Heat will make it out of the East next year. I guess it all depends on what moves the Lakers make next year that will determine if they will win the championship.

Great article, and even though the Heat fell on their faces sometimes it takes a situation of this magnitude to build a champion. I think a Heat team with solid role players can win a chip, but that team has to be a team and not the 'Big 3.' You knew when you faced the Unbeata-Bulls you went up against the team and not the Big 2 (MJ and Scottie). They also had Phil Jackson at the helm and not Erik Spoltergist as a coach, (Heat Mgmgt >>>please send him to Pat Riley Summer Camp). This years Finals proved that the Heat are Wade's team and that Lebron has to change his mentality to become a legend. Bosh is a better offensive talent than I thought but his defense needs big improvement for the team to take it to a next level. Haslem was honestly the difference maker in the playoffs as an interior player he dived for loose balls, stepped up to guard Dirk b/c Bosh was too scared. Heat please get rid of Eddie House his defense is non-existent and he may have hit 2 three pointers in the entire playoffs and release anybody over 35 on the squad.

They had a great run with James playing like a monster-they failed once he reverted back to his old self. James needs to decide once and for all whether he's going to lead this team and take over when the going gets tough. He could learn a thing or 2 from Nowitzki's 1-12 shooting in the first half; Nowitzki never waivered, and when it was time to close his team still trusted him down the stretch. James didn't look like he recovered from that 8 point game where D-Wade started barking on him and once his confidence was shaken that was it. Will Lebron ever mold into a cold blooded championship player? Or will he keep trying to pass to JUWAN FREAKING HOWARD once he's in the paint ? I don't think he has the heart for it, personally. He's been coddled since he was in the 6th grade and doesn't know the first thing about real adversity-certainly not in sports. The safest bet would be to gain some more talent on that team and turn Lebron into sort of an A-Rod like character; keep the pressure off him, keep him away from the press, and let him just play ball. It got A-Rod a ring

Very thorough Skoob. The Blazers needed to add a second scoring threat with Aldridge carrying the load and Roy trying to operate with 2 bad wheels. He brings a toughness to that team that they needed for some time. Brooks better start hooping or he will be considered a bust, think the Rockets got the better end of the bargain with Dragic and got even younger with the trade. Plus Thabeet can end up living up to his talent, especially with Hakeem, his fellow countrymen now in arms reach to get him NBA prime time ready. The Rockets GM knew what they were doing when they landed him, creating the heir apparent for Yao "My Legs are Not built for this league" Ming. We shall see......
